Fuel For Kids School Fundraiser
We are very excited to share that our school will be hosting its first fundraiser of the year – and it’s something brand new and exciting! On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, we will take part in the Fuel for Kids Fundraiser, in partnership with Fortinos (Dundurn), and their race team.
What is Fuel for Kids?
Fuel for Kids is a unique fundraiser where 100% of the money raised goes directly back to our school. The program brings professional race car driver Shawna Woudstra and her 1,400-horsepower dragster to schools across Ontario.
Here’s what will happen on September 24:

During the last period of the school day, students will enjoy an exciting outdoor Show & Tell on the blacktop with Shawna and her dragster. They will learn about race car driving and safety and finish the presentation by hearing the powerful engine roar!

After school, the fun continues at the Fuel for Kids BBQ at Fortinos Dundurn from 4:00–7:00 p.m.! Come out and show your support by purchasing a hot dog, drink, and snacks. You’ll also have the chance to see the race car up close again, meet Shawna, and join in on fun activities.
How you can help:

Come out and support! Bring your family to Fortinos (50 Dundurn Steet South) on September 24 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. and join us for food, fun, and fundraising.

Spread the word! Invite friends, relatives, and neighbors to attend. The more people who come, the more funds we raise for our school.
