December Update
Hello Kanétskare Families:
As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to reflect on what a wonderful term we’ve had at Kanétskare. From the success of our Senior Girls’ Volleyball team bringing home a championship to the many extracurricular activities keeping our students engaged, there has been so much to celebrate. This fall also marked an exciting time as we officially became the Lightning, embracing our new school identity with spirit days, sport teams, the concert band, school wide events, and Lightning Bolt points that have brought energy and pride to our school community.
During this season of diverse cultural and religious celebrations, we extend our warmest wishes for goodness, health, love, and a strong sense of community to all who may observe.
Our winter break will run from Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday, January 6th.
I am also pleased to share that I will be returning after my time away recovering from surgery. To ease back into my role, I’ll be working half-days the weeks of January 6th and January 13th, in the mornings and Mrs. Rowell will continue to support in the afternoons. Starting Monday, January 20th, I will resume my full-day duties. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and kind wishes during my recovery—it has meant so much to me.
On behalf of our entire staff, I want to thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Wishing you a restful, rejuvenating, and happy Winter Break! We can’t wait to see what the new year brings for our Lightning family!
With gratitude,
Mrs. J. Hall
Principal
