Grade 8 Toronto Trip
Students are excited for their upcoming trip to Toronto on June 4, 2025. Please ensure that you have made your last deposit for the trip (available through School Cash Online). Also, trip forms need to be filled out and returned to classroom teachers by Friday, May 30, 2025. This will help us finalize numbers, supervisor groups, and bus lists.

Continuing Education: Summer Reach Ahead Courses (Credit Granting)
If your child has registered for an online or in-person Reach Ahead course this summer, please make sure that they are regularly checking their HWDSB email for more information. A survey has already been sent to students who are registered for an in-person course.

High School Headstart (Non-Credit Granting)
This one-week intensive program is designed for students who would benefit from extra support in English or Math before the start of Grade 9. Includes focused instruction, hands-on learning, and proven learning strategies.
Who? Students who completed Grade 8 in June 2025 are welcome to apply.
When? August 18-22, 2025 from 9:00 am- 1:00 pm
Next step: Apply online before August 1, 2025.

Summer

Where? Students are automatically registered to attend the program at their Secondary School.

Commencement Lawn Signs
Commencement lawn signs have arrived at our school. Students are permitted to take one home after our Grade 8 Toronto trip, or parents can come to pick them up the week of graduation at the office. Students will not be able to take the signs home on regular school days.

Commencement
Our commencement ceremony will be on June 19, 2025 at 5:30 pm. More information regarding times, tickets, reception, etc., is found in the attached document. Your child will also be brining home a hard copy newsletter with all of the information needed.
