Program Strategy Parent & Student Survey Reminder

HWDSB’s Elementary Program Strategy is close to 10 years old; the Secondary Program Strategy is 13 years old. Piecemeal reviews of these strategies have been conducted over the years.

The HWDSB Multi-Year Strategic Plan was launched in 2024 and HWDSB selected R.A. Malatest, an educational researcher, to conduct a review of the programs. This review is not the introduction of a new practice, but a return to a regular cycle to review programming and ensure it aligns with our Multi-Year Strategic Plan and Board Improvement Plan.

This Program Strategy Review will engage the larger HWDSB community (students, staff, families) to ensure fulsome participation and voice, using surveys, focus groups and interviews. This is the beginning of the review process and we will continue to keep our communities (students, staff, families) informed as the review evolves.

This survey is available in English, Arabic, Farsi, French, Mandarin (simplified), Pashto, Punjabi, Somali, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese. These are available at the same link by pressing the globe at the top-right of the page.
