Kanétskare Happenings (Oct. 3rd-7th)

Good afternoon Kanétskare Families,

We had another productive and energetic week at our school.  Congratulations to Megan Evans who will be our School Council Chair and Sara Hagel who will take on the Treasurer’s role.  We look forward to working together to support our school community.  Our next School Council Meeting is on Oct. 19th at 7pm (all parents/caregivers are welcome to join us).

It was nice to see and hear students talking about Truth and Reconciliation this week.  Our goal is to continue the learning and focus on what we can do to not only understand our treaty relationships with our Indigenous partners but to act together to make things better for all.

Opportunities for Students:

Mathstronauts is proud to announce that the STEAM Engine Program is back for its 6^th year! In this 10-week virtual program, students will learn how to code, make 3D models and do graphic design to make their own Mars animations. All sessions will take place virtually, from the comfort of their home, with live instructors and teaching assistants.
