First Day Update

Hi Ryerson Families,

An amazing first day with students and staff.  It was also nice to meet some parents/caregivers this morning.  I will be sending some communication/clarification around lunch time routines tomorrow.  The focus for tomorrow is to continue to get all student attestations completed and start the process of daily screening.

We would like to highlight the following information:

• Each student must have a completed Return to School Attestation Form.  This form is completed once before the student starts school.  If you have not completed the Attestation Form for your child in the Parent Portal, a paper copy has been sent home with your child.

Please return the signed Attestation form to school tomorrow morning.

  Please ensure that you complete the Covid-19 Student Screening Checklist for each student every day before arriving at school. Please access the student screening tool online:

 https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/      The Screening tool does not need to be returned to school.  If your child does not pass the screener, please keep them home and follow the steps outlined in the screener.

The Daily COVID-19 Screening Verification Log is to be completed in the Parent Portal. Alternately, parents/guardians can choose to complete a paper copy of the Daily COVID-19 Screening Verification Log which has been given to your child.  If you do not complete the Screening Verification Log in the parent portal on a daily basis, the calendar provided is to be signed and returned to school with your child every day.
