Ryerson Graduation update

Dear Parents/ Guardians of our Ryerson Graduates,

 

The Ryerson Grade 8 teachers are working on plans to acknowledge the accomplishments of our graduates and this significant milestone.  We recognize that not having a traditional, live graduation ceremony is a great disappointment for many students and their families.  In an effort to celebrate this transition from elementary to secondary school, our staff will be creating and sharing a commemorative video/presentation with congratulatory messages. Student photos and names will be included in the presentation.

 

The presentation will be shared online and HWDSB credentials will be required to access it. Recipients will be discouraged from sharing the video with people who would not normally attend the ceremony. Posting publicly, including social media, is prohibited although it is important to know that HWDSB cannot guarantee that recipients will respect this requirement. Details regarding the availability of this presentation will be provided in the near future.

Parents/Guardians who do not want their child recognized as part of the commemorative video should contact their student’s teacher by Friday, June 12, 2020.

 

It is our hope that we will provide the Ryerson 2020 graduates with a special experience and virtual keepsake that honours their hard work and accomplishments.  Please stay tuned for further details regarding graduation.
