Weekly Update

Hello Highview Families,

Thank you for a great month! It is hard to believe that September is over.

For the month of October, we are going to focus on the character traits from the agenda as part of a citizenship project. This month our classes will be learning about honesty and compassion. Please have a discussion with your students about what honesty and compassion look like in our world today, and how we can demonstrate these traits each day. A student returned a calculator to me that they found on the play ground, which certainly shows we have honest kids here at Highview!

As the weather gets cooler, please remember to have students dress appropriately each day. We will be encouraging classes to go outside for fresh air and some movement activities during the day, so they should be prepared.

Please remember that we are not using the front door for student entry. Please have students here on time (between 8:00 A.M. and 8:15 A.M.) and have the students meet their classes on the back playground. As well, students should be walking and not running on the blacktop in the morning before school begins so we do not run into others.
