Queen Victoria staff will be involved in professional development all day on Friday. We will be looking at our school annual plan and setting targets and goals in the areas of reading and mathematics. There will be no school for students.

HWDSB Shows Improvement Towards Achievement

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) released the 2016-17 assessment results in the areas of Primary and Junior Reading, Writing and Mathematics, as well as the results of the Grade 9 Mathematics assessment and the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).


School Bus Delays – Updated List of Schools

Hamilton-Wentworth Student Transportation Services (HWSTS) has advised Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) and Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) that a bus driver shortage may impact local school bus routes.

As of Tuesday, September 19, HWSTS estimates that delays could impact 21 routes.

Hamilton-Wentworth Student Transportation Services (HWSTS) has advised Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) and Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) that a bus driver shortage may impact local school bus routes this September. As of Monday, September 18, HWSTS estimates that delays could impact 23 routes.

    Watch: Just One Wish Kindness Awards
    The third annual Just One Wish Kindness Awards were held on July 1, 2017 in Gage Park during the It's Your Festival celebrations for Canada's 150th birthday. Organizers honoured 151 children (150 for Canada's birthday and one for good luck), age 4 to 18, from across HWDSB for their kindness. These children exemplify what is means to be Canadian and what Canada is all about. Congratulations to all!
