HWDSB hosted the third annual EcoFair at Adventureworks this month to recognize the Ontario EcoSchools certification of 12 schools across the district. Ontario EcoSchools is an environmental education and certification program for Kindergarten to Grade 12 schools. It provides students with the ecological knowledge and skills to make environmental change in their schools and local communities. This past year, Ontario EcoSchools celebrated its 10th anniversary and HWDSB has been a proud partner for the past five years.
We are writing with an important update on your child’s final report card, which will be sent home on June 24. As you may be aware, teachers in Ontario’s public elementary schools are taking part in a lawful job action. This action includes an abbreviated report card for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8.

A fun packed day of learning at Dalewood school focused on the upcoming 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games. Students were engaged in a variety of Pan Am themed workshops that explored science, physical and health education, visual arts, dramatic arts, music and dance.
