Quick Update

Hello Rosedale Families;

A few updates to share:

Our gymnasium is near complete, and staff and students began using this bright new space last week.  We are waiting for new gym mats, stage curtains, and a sound system to be installed.

We are pleased to form a Rosedale School Council for this school year.  Co-chairs are Lidija Simonovic and Amanda Whetstone.  It is not too late to join School Council.  You do not need to be a member to attend our meetings where we discuss school operations, student achievement, and fundraising.  Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 5 pm in Room 124.

Thank you Rosedale Home and School Association for coffee and donuts for staff in honour of World Teacher Day, observed on November 5th.  As well, Home and School are funding our new playground games painting project which will be completed on our new paved areas and Kindergarten play area this fall by Creative Playgrounds Painting.

We look forward to seeing you at our Meet the Educator Event this Thursday, October 9th from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Along with classroom visits, please enjoy viewing our new gym, and the Scholastic Book Fair which will be held in this space.

Thanks to those who purchased Family Pizza Dinner on this day through school cash online.  Enjoy your pizza on site, or take home and enjoy dinner already made.  Pizza, water, and ice cream will arrive anytime after 3:30 pm on Thursday.

Home and School will be on site with information about the association and will sell popcorn for 2 dollars a bag.

A volunteer orientation session will occur in our Library at 3:30 pm for anyone interested in volunteering.  Forms will be available, and questions answered during this time.  For current volunteers who need to sign their yearly offence declaration, paper copies will be on hand.

We are in need of volunteers for our Scholastic Book Fair on Thursday, October 9th during these two times:

Block #1 3:30-4:15 pm

Block#2 4:15-5:00 pm

Every book bought helps us buy new books for our NEW LIBRARY coming in 2026!!!

Help us STACK OUR SHELVES! You can buy a book to donate to our library for students to read!
