Weekend Update

Dear Rosedale Families;

A few updates for the weekend:

• Remembrance Day – A student only Remembrance Day observance will be held on Monday, November 11^th.  All students will receive a poppy.  Optional school cash online donations of $1, $2, or $5 can be made until November 11th.  All money raised will go directly to the Poppy Fund at the Legion.

• Renovations Update – A new entry and exit gate has been installed on Aberfoyle Ave.  Students entering and exiting each day will access this temporary gate.  It is only a few meters away from the existing gate.  Please be mindful around this area as it is a designated construction site.  Please consider walking your child to and from school each day.  Fresh air and exercise promote well-being for everyone.

• Parking Lot – Our temporary parking lot will house staff vehicles beginning on Monday, November 11th.  There are not enough parking spots in the temporary lot to hold all staff vehicles.  Please do not park in the temporary parking lot at any time.

• Toys and other valuables at school – Instructional and play time is being impacted by resolving issues about valuables/personal items students are bringing to school.  This includes poke e mon cards, toys, stuffed animals, jewelry, and other non-instructional items.  Moving forward staff will not be investigating missing, lost, or damaged items coming from home.  These items are not needed during the instructional day.  Please leave all toys, jewelry, and other valuables at home.
