Terry Fox Run

Since 2005 Rosedale Elementary School has raised over $26,000.00 for cancer research through the annual Terry Fox Run !
This year we will be hosting a Terry Fox Day on Friday September 27th .  Students will be encouraged to wear red, bring a hat and water bottle, and wear sunscreen.
Online donations are accessed through the Terry Fox Foundation website or by clicking on this link.  https://schools.terryfox.ca/69410
Thank you for supporting cancer research!
Please note that Rosedale School is not accepting cash donations.
Terry Fox
At the age of 18, Terry Fox was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma and was forced to have his right leg removed.  Determined to help others suffering from cancer, he decided to run across Canada, running a marathon a day for 143 days, to raise funds for cancer research.  Unfortunately, Terry’s cancer returned and he was forced to end his Marathon of Hope, but his legacy had only just begun.  Today, the future of cancer research is very bright.  The Terry Fox Foundation funds a variety of different cancer research projects such as lung, breast, ovarian, colorectal, pediatric, prostate, brain and blood.  With your support, we will continue to make a difference and provide hope to others.
Sincerely Mrs. Vince and Mrs. Davies, Terry Fox Committee at Rosedale School
