Rockton Elementary School Presents – March Move-A-Thon!
Dear Rockton Families,
On Tuesday, March 4th, Rockton Elementary School Student Council will host a March Move-A-Thon! There will be different types of movement (e.g., games, dancing), as well as music, glow-in-the-dark bracelets (for purchase), snacks (for purchase), prizes, and best of all FUN! Every student (regardless of donations) will have a chance to participate in this event, from JK to Grade 8. So, get your moving feet and hands ready. The top 3 students who raise the most amount of money will win prizes (gift cards). Also, the class that raises the most amount of money will get a class treat (ice cream sundae party – lactose-free/vegan alternatives provided). All money raised will be put towards purchasing classroom supplies, technology, and trip subsidies.
All the students have to do is talk to their family and friends and ask them to sponsor them for the Move-A-Thon. Have them fill out the donation form (attached) and put the money inside a labelled envelope or plastic zip bag to bring back to school (March 4th). You can also contribute online through School Cash Online. If donating $20 or more, you are eligible to receive a tax receipt if you go through the HFSS donate now page.
