Welcome

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year

We are excited to welcome students back to class for the 2025-26 school year. We hope that everyone enjoyed a restful and pleasant summer. Each new year is a new opportunity for students to reach their full potential, make new connections and learn and grow with their school community.

A friendly reminder that the first day of school will be Tuesday September 2, 2025.

Throughout this week, we have been actively preparing for the start of the new school year and are excited to welcome back our students, staff, and families after the long weekend.

Each new year brings fresh opportunities. A special welcome to the families and students who are new to Richard Beasley. We are confident you will quickly discover that this is a warm, welcoming school with a deeply dedicated staff.

We are pleased to announce that Richard Beasley has recently undergone a series of renovations aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving facilities. The exterior walkway at the building’s entrance has been completely redone, several washroom areas have been upgraded, and a lift has been installed to provide improved access to the stage.

Below is some helpful information as you begin planning for the upcoming week and re-establishing your routines.

Parent Portal – Families need to familiarize themselves with the HWDSB Parent Portal.  The portal includes important links to attendance reporting, SchoolCash online, transportation, and important forms and surveys. Your child’s class assignment for September will also be posted on the portal.

Communication – Besides regular communication from teachers you will also receive weekly emails from the school office through the SchoolMessenger portal with reminders and any important information for the week ahead. This communication will also be posted to our school website for you to access.  Families can use the free SchoolMessenger app or website to choose how they wish to receive these messages.

We also invite families to keep up with communications from HWDSB by subscribing to email updates or following HWDSB on social media.
