Our final special lunch day is Tuesday, June 18th. If you are interested you need to place your order by end of the day Thursday, June 6
Our Grade 1-5 end of year trip will be to Splitsville Bowling Arena on June 25th. If you are interested in your child(ren) going, you need to complete and return the trip form by Thursday, June 6. The cost of the trip is $5.00 as the rest of the money is being subsidized by the School.

We are having a special lunch day on Tuesday, June 25th. The cost of the food at the bowling alley was a bit much for some of our families, so we have decided to offer a hot dog lunch special. If you are interested you need to place your order by end of the day Thursday, June 6

Pizza
Just a reminder that Thursdays are our school’s pizza days. You can order pizza for your child using Cash online. If you have not purchased online, you can send your child with money to purchase on the day of. Please note that you should still send them with a lunch just in case there are not enough slices left for sale.
Popcorn
You can order popcorn for your child using Cash online. This year you are also able to select the flavour you would like to order. Unfortuantely, we cannot remove a flavour online if we are running low on it but will double check with your child the flavour they would like instead. If you have not purchased online, you can send your child with money to purchase on the day of. Please remember that due to the increase in cost, we have had to increase to $2.50.

This year, our School Krispy Kreme Fundaiser kicks off as soon as school starts and ends in time for Thanksgiving.

McDonald’s – Special Lunch day – June 20
Our last Special Lunch for this school year is a McDonald’s one. Students have a range of items to choose from. All orders are due Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Unfortunately, due to restaurant requirements for numbers, refunds cannot be offered.
Richard Beasley Special Lunch – Hot Dog Day
Students were surveyed to determine which Special Lunch they wanted for the end of this term. The majority of students chose the Hot Dog package.
Due to the fact that the Shawarma Lunch was quite close and a number of students were quite disappointed that it was not the winner, we have decided to have an additional Special Lunch in April after Eid has ended.
Pizza

Also note that students who purchased pizza on Thursday, January 26 and did not get it due to the snow day will be receiving it on Monday, February 6th. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call the office.

Chinese Food
As one of our special lunches, we thought about doing Chinese Food to celebrate Chinese New Year. We did a poll with our students to determine if they would be interested and had a very positive response.
Seeing that Chinese New Year is on Sunday, January 22, we are hoping to have this event on Monday, January 23rd, 2023. We have checked out a number of Chinese restaurants in the area and Le Chinois on Mall Road has offered us the most reasonable price.
Students can have vegetable fried rice, Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken strips, a spring roll and one Cheese Rangoon for $10.00. We will have a vegetarian or vegan option for those students who do not eat meat.
We are hoping to have this set up with School Cash Online as soon as possible. Orders will need to be placed by January 13, 2023 so we can share a final number with the restaurant.
Each year, will facilitate various fundraising initiatives through out the year in order to support and supplement student needs around the school.
Some initiatives are ‘major’ in nature and so may only happen once or twice a year while others, such as pizza sales (weekly) are regular and ongoing. Decisions around spending any monies collected via school based fundraising are made with student achievement as our priority focus and concern, and with input from staff and the community.
