Millgrove Return to School Update

Hello Millgrove families,

Please return all cable, chargers and iPads as these are needed in the classrooms.

Please remember to complete the daily screener with your child before they come to school https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/.  Sign off once you have completed the screener on the verification log.  This can save staff time in the morning so that we can get down to the business of learning!!

Students have received 2 Rapid Antigen Tests to be used if they fail the daily screener.  Please follow the instructions below for proper use.

Using the Take-home Rapid Antigen Screening Kit:

  • There are different varieties of rapid antigen tests that are being distributed by the province. Please click here for instructions on how to use each variety or reference this how-to video.

What to do after your test:

  • You will know the outcome of the test within 15 minutes.
  • If the first rapid antigen test is negative, complete the second test within 24-48 hours of the first test. If two consecutive rapid antigen tests, separated by 24-48 hours, are both negative, the symptomatic individual is less likely to have COVID-19 infection, and the individual should isolate until symptoms are improving for at least 24 hours (or 48 hours if gastrointestinal symptoms are present).
  • If the first rapid antigen test is positive, there is no need to use the second test. A positive rapid antigen test is highly indicative that an individual has COVID-19. Use of both tests is only required to confirm a negative result. Continue isolating for your required period of time as outlined within the guidance.
