Terry Fox Run and Orange Shirt Day

Millgrove will hold our annual Terry Fox Run on September 30.  Staff and students will respect physical distancing and run with their cohort group.  Thanks to all of those who have donated to the Terry Fox Foundation.  Please support this wonderful cause by donating to: http://www.terryfox.ca/MillgrovePSMillgrove.

Millgrove will also acknowledge orange shirt day on September 30.  Staff and students can wear something orange to help raise awareness of the Residential School experience, to ensure that every child knows they matter, and work toward a better future for all people. The orange shirt became significant due to the story of Phyllis Webstad, who in the early 1970s had her orange shirt taken away on her first day at the Residential School St. Joseph Mission (SJM) in British Columbia.
