Volunteers Welcomed!

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the school year at Millgrove in the classroom and throughout the school.

Volunteer opportunities include reading and practicing letters, sounds and numbers with students, a winter food drive collection for a community charity; a Read-a-thon in January to coincide with Literacy Week; a book fair in May to coincide with our open house; activities such as the Terry Fox Run and cross-country running; hanging student art work, checking-in and re-shelving library books; organizing the book cart for book exchange; helping staff with classroom tasks such as visual arts prep; copying, cutting and pasting resources for students; and participating on school trips and in school activities.

Please note that a vulnerable sector screening (police check) is required.  Many of these volunteer opportunities take an hour or so, while others may require more of a time commitment.  We can always find something that will suit your schedule.
