Mid Month Updates

It has been a wonderful start to our school year at Jmac! The weather has been great and the students are getting into routines nicely.  There are a few important updates below. A newsletter will be sent home later this week with more information.

School Council Update

Last week we held our election. Our new Council is listed below. We are looking forward to the partnership and support that our council will bring to our students this year.

School Organization Changes

HWDSB reviews its student enrolment numbers in each school at this time of year. The enrolment numbers are compared to the projected enrolment numbers determined at the end of the previous school year. As we look to meet the provincial class size requirements and finalize the enrolment numbers for this school year, it’s typical for student enrolment to fluctuate.  Due to new enrolments there is a need to make some adjustments to our school classroom organizations based on our confirmed enrolment.  Those families impacted will be contacted directly by the end of the day Monday. A letter will be coming home this week with all students with more information. We appreciate your understanding as we finalize class organizations for this school year.

Meet the Staff Night

On October 3 we invite you to come and see your child’s classroom and meet the staff here at Jmac. Our Open House will run from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
