Emergency Practice Drills

Every year schools practice several different types of emergency drills. These occur throughout the year, many will be in the next few weeks. Our Community Officer will be attending some of our drills as part of their role in supporting our school.

Fire Drills – 6 per year

Lockdown Drill – 2 per year

Hold & Secure – 1 per year

Shelter in Place – 1 per year

Bomb Threat/Evacuation Drill – 1 per year

Parents and guardians can help support our practices also by discussing with your children the importance of following the instructions of staff during these drills.

Today was our first fire drill and it went very well. All of our students evacuated the school, followed the safety routines and safely assembled in the designated areas. Our students did a fantastic job!
