Holbrook,  built in 1962, is located on the West Hamilton “mountain”.   Our school community is diverse.  We come together here from different parts of the world and some of us are attending the school our parents attended!  A number of our families are new to Canada and are learning English as a Second Language.  Holbrook is  pleased to host the “Enrichment & Innovation Centre” for the HWDSB. Our special class students require transportation, as they come from all over the Hamilton-Wentworth area.  The rest of our students live within walking distance of the school. We are a walking school and encourage physical exercise.

We have an active and supportive School Council.  If you wish to be in touch with the School Council Ms. Stephanie Brash, Chair, can be reached by leaving a message at the school.  (Telephone 905 385 5369)

Holbrook operates on a Balanced Day.  Our school day is divided into three instructional periods, separated by two forty minute Nutrition Breaks that allow students time for eating and exercise.  A Healthy Snack program, operated by volunteers, provides nutritious snack to any child who needs one.  We are always looking for volunteers to support this valued program.
