Book Fair @ Highview

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are once again hosting our annual Scholastic bookfair to provide you with excellent options for purchasing books for your child and to improve our school library. Any profits from the bookfair will be used to purchase new books for our school library to keep the collection current and exciting for the students. Did you know that for every $10 you spend at the Fair, up to $6 comes directly back to our school?

You’ll find hundreds of quality books at our Book Fair with a wide assortment for all reading levels. To help your child find the newest and best books, the students will visit the Book Fair to preview what is there on Tuesday October 30^th.

The bookfair will be open to family and friends to purchase books during the following times:

• Thursday, November 1^st from 2:45 pm to 7:00 pm
• Friday November 2^nd from 8:30am to 10:30 am

(Please note that the above times are the updated times…The Book Fair will not be open after school on October 31st as was published in the October Newsletter.)

The book fair accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard and debit. If you are unable to attend the book fair during those times, students can bring money to school on Thursday November 1^st to make purchases during the day.

We have many fun events planned for the Book Fair, including a Family Event Draw in which you can win $25 in books for your child and $25 in books for your child’s classroom literacy program. Please make sure that your child brings the completed ballot to the library before Thursday November 1. We will be drawing the winning ballot during morning announcements. The ballot can be found on the flyer attached to this letter.

Our goal is to sell $3500 worth of merchandise – come help us reach our goal and improve the library! This is a great opportunity for you to get started on your holiday shopping and see the great books that are available to get your child excited about reading!

Parent volunteers are more than welcome at the book fair. We are looking for volunteers to help out with out with managing the displays and selling the merchandise. If you are interested in volunteering on Tuesday October 30^th (am or pm) or Thursday November 1^st (am only) please contact Mrs. Little via email: [email protected].
