Welcome Back Information

Hello Highview Families,

Please find attached some important information regarding start up:

Highview Elementary Site Specific Plan

The site specific plan outlines safety measures and routines that the students and staff will be following this year.

BACK TO SCHOOL MAP

This map outlines where teachers will meet the students on the first day. Please remember to wear your mask and keep a 2m distance from other students and their families.

Remember that JK visits take place on Wednesday, September 8. All SK students attend school on Thursday, September 9th.

The school day begins at 8:15 A.M. and ends at 2:35 P.M.

Return-to-School-Attestation-2021-2022

Prior to beginning school parents/guardians/caregivers and students over age 18 must complete a one-time attestation indicating the following as it relates to daily screening for COVID-19 symptoms and other screening criteria.
If you have any questions about the statements below, please contact the student’s school prior to completion.

This can also be completed electronically on the parent portal.

https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/parent/

Note: The term ‘student’ is intended to be inclusive and refers to the child of the parent/guardian/caregiver.

Daily COVID-19 Screening Verification Log

At this time, students are required to submit confirmation each school day that they have completed the COVID-19 Screening. Students who are not able to confirm their daily screening on their own using an electronic device will require assistance from their parent or guardian using this log. Please return this log daily to the school.
The screening tool can be accessed online: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
If the screening tool indicates the student may attend school today, please initial below under the correct date.

Paper copies will also be provided on the first day of school for students.

Please remember that some of these items may be revised as we move forward. We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we welcome everyone back to school!

Thank you,

Mr. McLean and Mr. Puley
