Weekly Update

Hello Highview Families,

There is a lot happening at the school this week and we want to keep you up to date.

Letters will be sent home Tuesday, October 27 with students who will experience a class change due to HWDSB reorganization. The letter will outline the nature of the school organization, staff affected, classes that needed to be changed, and the new class students will be assigned. We realize that this is always challenging and we appreciate your flexibility and patience with this process. These decisions are never easy and placements are made based on student need, teacher input to ensure a smooth transition to the new classroom.

A reminder that our first school council meeting will take place via teams on October 28th at 6:15 P.M. As of October 21 all individuals who were interested in joining council have sent in a nomination form. If you are interested in attending the meeting please send an email to the school with your email address so we can add you.

Progress Reports will be sent home with students on Thursday, October 29th. Interviews will be taking place the week of November 23.

Thursday October 29 is also Orange and Black Day.

Friday is Costume Day at Highview. Please remember that costumes need to be worn for the entire day, masks must allow students to see safely and a face mask must be worn with all costumes. See the previous Halloween memo for all details.
