Welcome Back, Helen Detwiler Community!

We are so excited to welcome you back to school in the very near future.  Whether you chose an in-school return or the remote school model, rest assured that we are all busy preparing for a wonderful return.  Even though this will be a school start up like we have never experienced before, we are excited for the new learning we will all do together.

Our specific Helen Detwiler school plan will be released by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 2nd.  The plan will provide information on what to expect for the return of back to school.  If you have any questions regarding the plan, after the 2nd, please feel free to call the school at 905-574-2662 or send us an email at [email protected]

Student COVID-19 Attestation

In order to prepare for a wonderful first day back at school, if you chose the in-school model, please remember to complete your COVID19 attestation form.  The attestation form can be found in the Parent Portal.  This form only needs to be completed once.  If you have more than one child, the attestation form needs to be completed for each family member attending Helen Detwiler.  This form must be completed prior to the first day of school.  If you cannot complete the attestation form, please contact the school beginning Monday, August 31st via email or phone.

Visiting the school office?

Please be advised that visiting the school office, in person, is not permitted at this time.  This includes new student registrations.  We will communicate, in the Helen Detwiler School Specific Plan, how visits to the office will take place in the near future.  Until then, we are more than happy and willing to answer any questions you might have via phone or email (phone and email address noted above).

Staying Connected

We will be using the school website as a means of staying connected throughout the year.  It is important that you subscribe to our school website so that you receive all information in a timely manner, including our Helen Detwiler monthly newsletter.  When you subscribe to the website, you will receive an email notification every time the website is updated with new information.  Please click here to subscribe.
