FP School Reorganization

Dear Frank Panabaker Community

This school year has presented unique challenges to Ontario schools, as well as new options for students to learn in-person or remotely. We thank all our FP families for their support and for ensuring that their child(ren) follow HWDSB and public health protocols while at school and at home to ensure everyone is safe.

Each fall, HWDSB reviews elementary student enrolment in schools, and reorganizes staffing if actual enrolment differs from spring projections. It is normal for student enrolment to fluctuate a little.

This year, the fall reorganization is more widespread due to the in-person/remote option for students, as well as the ongoing need to meet provincial class size requirements.

Specifically, at Frank Panabaker School, this reorganization will mean:

North Site:

· Collapse of Gr 2/3 French Immersion, resulting in class switches

· Gr 1/2FI will be Gr 2FI

· Gr 1/2 English will be Gr 2

· Gr 3/4 English will be Gr 4

· Mlle. Cadete FI and Mrs. Akamphuber – remote learning

· Mr. Little Gr 4/5

South Site:

· Mrs. Denholm-McClure (FDK), and Mrs. Bani (DECE) – remote learning

· Collapse of the 78A class

· Class switches for students in 67A, and 78A

· JKA- Teacher, TBD, and Mrs. Seeley, DECE

· JKB Mrs. Downey

· JKC- Mrs. Dodgson and Mrs. Mainprize, DECE

All changes will be in effect on Nov. 3.

Students moving to a new class have received letters on Oct. 27th.
