HWDSB Shows Improvement Towards Achievement

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) released the 2016-17 assessment results in the areas of Primary and Junior Reading, Writing and Mathematics, as well as the results of the Grade 9 Mathematics assessment and the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).

This past November, we received 11.5 million dollars to build a new K-8 elementary school on the Eastdale site. We are in the early stages of the design process and expect to begin demolition of the current Eastdale School throughout the summer of 2018.

      Watch: Just One Wish Kindness Awards
      The third annual Just One Wish Kindness Awards were held on July 1, 2017 in Gage Park during the It's Your Festival celebrations for Canada's 150th birthday. Organizers honoured 151 children (150 for Canada's birthday and one for good luck), age 4 to 18, from across HWDSB for their kindness. These children exemplify what is means to be Canadian and what Canada is all about. Congratulations to all!
