Dear Yorkview Families,

This email is to inform you that Yorkview School will be holding 4 secure school protocol drills in the upcoming weeks, so that staff and students are prepared in case of an emergency.

These drills may involve a visit by members of the Hamilton Police Service. A Shelter in Place May 30, Hold and Secure May 31 and Lockdown drills June 9 and 14 will be occurring. We appreciate the co-operation of our students and staff during these drills.

It is also important that we all remain aware of secure schools terminology used in all of Ontario’s publicly funded schools.
