Parking Lot

There is scheduled construction to occur in the school parking lot to commence this upcoming weekend, Saturday October 23rd up until Wednesday October 27th. Please be advised that only Yorkview staff will access the parking lot. The east side of the building will not be accessible as it will be fenced off. All walkers will need to walk around the west side of the building, past the kinder play area to access the back playground. Cyclists will secure their bicycles on the front racks by the kinder play area/school sign. The roads will be busier, as varying staff from Yorkview, YMCA and Dundas Co-op Pre-School will be parked on the roads within the building vicinity. Please continue to travel safely in our school community, especially during this transitional time period.

Halloween

Communication about classroom activities will come directly from your child’s teacher. Students have a choice to wear a costume to school. Please ensure that your child’s costume accommodates a face covering as per COVID requirements. All Public Health safety practices will be followed.

Spirit Wear

Don’t forget to purchase your spirit wear until next Friday October 29th! Please reach out to the office, should there be a need for financial support in making a purchase. $1.00 from each item will be put forth in support of emerging student needs, e.g. purchasing spirit wear.
