Depave Update

About 70 people, most of whom are from the Yorkview community, showed up last Saturday to help lift asphalt, register volunteers, serve drinks and food, and supervise children. It was truly an amazing experience to watch our community mobilize for such a worthy cause. While the Depave Planning Committee insured every effort was made to keep everyone safe and materials properly secured, they could not prevent some further damage to our playground resulting from heavy trucks on the old asphalt. We remain focused on student safety on the playground and have put down orange pylons to mark the damaged area. Our duty teachers are diligent in keeping students out of this area, and we have been actively exploring options to get the area fixed. Thanks for your understanding.
