World Kindness Day Food Drive – World Kindness Day Food Drive – The Winona Wildcats rose to the challenge and surpassed our goal by collecting an impressive 820 lbs of food for Hamilton Food Share! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the food drive. We also dedicated the week to spreading kindness intentionally among one another. This is a fantastic beginning, and we hope the spirit of kindness continues to flourish
School Council Poinsettia Sale – Purchase via School CashOnline. Order Deadline is November 28th. Poinsettia Pick Up Date will be December 12th & 13th. Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week – Ontario has designated the week beginning on the third Sunday of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment. While this learning takes place throughout the year at Winona, we will be explicitly focusing on Bullying Awareness and Prevention this week. Over the week, our students may be discussing teasing, aggression, cyberbullying and how to help or get help.
Progress Reports – Families can expect a print copy of the progress reports to come home on Tuesday, November 19. Elementary Progress Report Cards are used to inform parents of the progress students are making toward the achievement of curriculum expectations for each subject. Parents and caregivers are invited to discuss their child/ren’s progress by attending a progress meeting in person or via MS Teams.
