Grade 8 Commencement- Grade 8 families are asked to check their email for a message outlining important dates and events for our Grade 8 students, including the end-of-year commencement and celebration.

Kindergarten Registration –  We are excited to announce that Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year opens Monday, February 3, 2025. Children who turn 4 in 2025 are eligible to register for the September 2025 Kindergarten program.  Families can visit Kindergarten Registration | Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board to learn how to register and view some additional information regarding the Kindergarten program and readiness for school.

Out of Catchment – With kindergarten registration nearing, we want to remind families that all children must attend their home school.  At this time Winona is closed to out-of-catchment students. If you have moved during the school year, use the find your school site to determine your catchment area school.  Students can finish the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year at Winona but must register for their in-catchment school for September 2025.  Schools closed to Out-of-Catchment do not accept applications for Out-of-Catchment and do not generate a waitlist.  For further details on the Out of Catchment policy please visit How to Register | Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and select the “Out of Catchment” tab.
