Kernel’s Popcorn is Coming – We have 3 upcoming dates for Kernel’s Popcorn.  Our first date will be February 6.  Families interested in purchasing the popcorn can do so through SchoolCash Online.  The order deadline for our first popcorn day is this Thursday (January 25). Kindergarten Registration –  We are excited to announce that Kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year opens Monday, February 5, 2024. Children who turn 4 in 2024 are eligible to register for the September 2024 Kindergarten program.  Families can visit Kindergarten | Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (hwdsb.on.ca) to learn how to register and view some additional information regarding the Kindergarten program and readiness for school.

Out of Catchment – With kindergarten registration nearing, we want to remind families that all children must attend their home school.  At this time Winona is closed to out-of-catchment students. If you have moved during the school year, use the find your school site to determine your catchment area school.  Students can finish the remainder of the 2023/2024 school year at Winona but will need to register for their in-catchment school for September 2024.  Schools closed to Out-of-Catchment do not accept applications for Out-of-Catchment and do not generate a waitlist.  For further details on the Out of Catchment policy please visit https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/blog/2023-24-out-of-catchment-process/
