Attend our School’s Kindergarten Orientation Event!

Spring is an exciting time at our school, as we welcome families and children to Kindergarten Orientation.

Attending an orientation is a great chance to connect with the kindergarten team and to learn more about the kindergarten program.

This year’s event will be virtual but will still give families and children a sense of what to expect in September. We hope that you can attend our Kindergarten Orientation.

Date and time of Kindergarten Orientation: Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

A Microsoft Teams link to join will be emailed to the families of registered students individually.

You do not need to RSVP, but may want to review how to use a Microsoft Teams link if you are new to the platform.

Elementary Remote Learning Option for 2021-2022

HWDSB is offering remote learning for elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 8) in 2021-22 as an option for families concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic as directed by the Ministry of Education.

We appreciate that making this decision may be difficult for families given the current health situation in Ontario.

Parents, guardians and caregivers can register their child’s choice through the Parent Portal starting Thursday, May 13 at 9:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 1 at 11:59 p.m. Parent Portal login information will be emailed to individual families of registered kindergarten students.

The board is asking families to commit to remote learning for the entire 2021-22 school year, but there will be an opportunity to transition to in-person learning early in early October. Depending on Ministry of Education directions, there might be another opportunity later in the school year.
