Reminder Re: Peanut-free and Allergen-free Learning Space

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

We thank everyone for your generosity when there have been opportunities to share food in your child’s classroom. We do have some students with significant allergies to various food items, so we are sending out this reminder of HWDSB’s policy to support a peanut-free and allergen-free learning space. This means we try to ensure that peanuts/nuts and other allergens that may impact students in specific classes, are not in the school. We can all work together to increase student awareness of this too by sharing this information with them.
