Important Instructions for the Return of Templemead IPads

This is a message to the students and families of Templemead Elementary School. The last day of
instruction for students is Tuesday September 29th. All students will be given independent and
asynchronous work to complete during the school day on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Attendance
will be taken on line as usual; however, there will be no synchronous lessons on those days.
If your child borrowed an IPad for Remote or home learning, it must be returned to the school next week.
On Monday and Tuesday, the staff at Templemead will have a table set up outside of the main entrance for
the purpose of collecting HWDSB loaned iPads. For iPad returns, please see Mrs. Ritz who will be at the
table. If there is a lineup, please stand two metres apart. Please wear a mask. A staff member will greet
you at the door and collect the iPad.
Please prepare the iPad properly for return:
• Place the iPad, charger, and cord into a clear plastic bag
• Neatly write your child’s full name on a piece of paper
• Place the paper face up inside the bag
• Securely tie the bag so no items can fall out
If your child’s teacher has informed you that there are items to pick up, you can pick them up at the times
listed below or when you drop of a device. Please come to the front door of the school and inform a
staff member that you have arrived. Give the staff member your child’s name and the name of their teacher.
The staff member will retrieve any bagged items and bring them to you.
Please follow all COVID protocols for this process. If you do not have an iPad to return and your child took
home all their belongings in April, there is no need to come to the school. Only come to the school if you
know you have items to pick up, or if you are returning an iPad. There will be no access to lost and found.

Monday 12:00PM – 3:00PM
Tuesday 9:00AM – 3:00PM
Please note: Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Skoczny & Mrs. Freeman, Ms. Steeves & Mrs. Mina, and both Mrs. Taylors’
classes – please come to the school only on Tuesday.
