Important Learning at Templemead

Our intermediate students had the opportunity to learn more about our Muslim community today.  We are very thankful for the leadership of Imam Sayed Tora from the Hamilton Mountain Mosque.  He helped us to better understand the prevailing stereotypes with respect to Muslims and how we can react/respond to improve the situation for all of us.  The students reflected and asked good questions to gain more knowledge.  A special thanks to Ms. Quereshi as well for sharing a positive experience she had working with female Syrian newcomers.  We are grateful for this learning opportunity today and we hope the positive conversations continue with students and staff at Templemead.
