Cross Country Recognition

On behalf of Miss Rainville, Mrs. Goehner and Mr. Kuczerepa we would just like to say thank you to all 63 members of the Tapleytown Cross Country team who participated on Friday, October 14th, 2022. It was a dreary day for running but all Tapleytown students demonstrated sportsmanship, courage and ultimately perseverance.

There are a few ribbon winners that we would like to recognize. Starting in the grade 8 girls race where Raegan M. closed out her elementary career by coming in 1st place overall. The next winner we would like to recognize was a grade 8 boy also closing out his cross-country career and coming in 1st place was Coby King. Next, we moved into the grade 7 girls race where we also had a 2nd place finish by Avery Sakaluk. In the grade 5 girls race we had a 3rd place finish by Caris K. Not to be out done in the grade 5 boys race we had a 2nd place finish by Liron L. In the grade 4 girls race we had another 1st place finish by Miliana K. In the grade 3 boys race we had yet another 1st place finish by Marco M. There are some honourable mentions that we would like to include, grade 8 girl Ava B closed out her final cross country meet with a strong 4th place finish. Luka J also came in 5th place in the grade 3 boys’ race. Haider C had 5th place in the grade 3 girl’s race. We also had two strong finishes in the grade 5 boys race with Quinn P coming in 6th and Liron L finishing 7th.

All in all, Tapleytown students had a very successful day. Regardless of the place you finished the key thing to remember is that you are already a winner for setting a goal and following through by trying to reach it.

Great job Tapleytown,

Miss Rainville, Mrs. Goehner, Mr. Kuczerepa
