Year End Message

Hello SWO Parents / Caregivers
The end of June 2018 marks another successful year of learning at SWO.  Thank you to all our students for their enthusiasm, hard work and commitment to learning.  Thank you to our parents, caregivers, volunteers and community members for their support throughout the 2017 – 2018 school year.

We would like to thank the members of the SWO School Council for all their energy, support and dedication to our school and our students.  It has been a pleasure working with all of them.

At this time of year, we need to say goodbye to some of our staff who are moving on to new opportunities.  Wishing the best to:  Ms Fuca and Mrs. Allan as they embark on new adventures.

Both Mme Kurtz and I would like to thank the SWO staff, students and parents for welcoming us and making us part of the community.  The learning, caring and kindness has made us both proud to be a part of SWO.  We congratulate Mme Kurtz who will be leaving us to be the principal of Parkdale Elementary School while I begin a new journey as the principal at École Élémentaire Michaëlle Jean Elementary School.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Gerry Smith, as the incoming principal.  The vice-principal role is still to be determined.

The staff at SWO would like to wish all families in our community a wonderful and safe summer.
