Grade 7 and 8 French experience Feb 2nd 2026
Dear Rockton Parents and Guardians,
We have a special interactive (Core French) event coming up on Monday, February 2nd for our Gr. 7s and 8s.
– – – Chef à l’Ecole !! – – –
Permission Forms were sent home today. We are looking for Parent/Guardian Volunteers to help out with sessions (either your child’s session or whole day). They have requested for us to have 1-2 volunteers per session. French is not required for volunteers!
Chef à l’École:
– This fantastic workshop will be setting up in the Library on Monday, February 2nd.
– Students will expand on their current French vocabulary while preparing a classic French-Canadian pastry recipe and listening to a French cultural story.
– They will also be introduced to French Canadian music, learn how to play the spoons and will enjoy eating the treats they created.
Please take a look at the schedule below and let me know if you would like to volunteer to help out with this wonderful opportunity for students to create a memorable French experience together.

11:45am – 1:25pm (7/8A – Mrs. Burgess-Hertner)
1:25pm – 3:05pm (8A – Mr. Stewart)
3:05pm – 3:30pm (Clean-up/Pack-up)
