Hello Rockton Families,

I hope your summer has been filled with fun, adventure, and time spent with family and friends.

I am reaching out today to share that I will not be at Rockton this September.

I will be returning to work that I had previously begun at the system level. This work involves collaborating with community partners in special education to support the effective entry and exit of students within HWDSB and the community. This work was put on hold as a result of the pandemic and now there is an opportunity for this work to begin again.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this past year at Rockton, the support from the entire Rockton community has made this past year very special for me. I am grateful for my time at Rockton School. I know this move will help me to make a positive impact for so many students and families across our system including many Rockton families both now and in the future.

I am happy to share that Leanne Tovey will be the new principal in September.  Leanne is coming from Ray Lewis School as an experienced administrator, she is very excited to be joining this fantastic community. Mrs. Tovey and I have already met and I will continue to support her transition to principal of Rockton School.
