Dear Parents/Guardians,
Grade 8 Graduation at the Rockton Fairgrounds, Thursday, June 20th, 2024 5:30 – 7:00pm
Tickets: Each student has received 6 tickets for graduation . If you do not need all the tickets, please return them so they can be reallocated. If you need extra tickets, please send in a written ticket request to your child’s homeroom teacher. Please understand that due to fire code and safety we have to regulate the number of people in the facility however with a smaller group of graduates this year we should be fine.
A reminder of all the procedures regarding Graduation:
Rehearsal: 2:15 pm – 3:30 pm (in the gym) (Wednesday June 19th , 2024) – all students must be present, students are expected to attend school all next week.
Ceremony: 5:30 pm sharp (graduates are asked to be there no later than 5:15 p.m.)
Doors will open at 5:15 pm
Reception: 7:00- 7:30 pm for everyone
Dinner/Dance: 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. (students only)
Please ensure that your child has a way home after the celebrations at 9:00 pm.
REHEARSAL All students are required to attend the rehearsal at 2:15pm on Wednesday, June 19th.
This is not a dress rehearsal, but we do recommend that if students are wearing high heeled shoes, they bring them in order to practice walking in them.
REPORT CARDS and COMPOSITE PHOTOS, if ordered, will be received at the graduation ceremony.
AFTER GRADUATION
If you choose to start your holiday early, please use our safe arrival attendance system to enter your child’s attendance. We appreciate your assistance with this. If students are attending school in the days following graduation they will expected to join their classroom for the entire day and will be expected to follow our regular routines and school expectations for the time they are here at School.
PS.. If students had ordered pizza for last Wednesday June 12th we have held the order to this Monday and will have pizza delivered to school for Monday June 17th.
