Kid’s Corner Book Club -Fall Registration now open
Good afternoon,
Our names are Sarah-Lyn Amaral and Karalee Olsen-Glover. Together, we have created a program targeted at increasing early literacy among children and focusing on getting youth in our community engaged in reading for pleasure. It’s called Kid’s Corner Book Club.
Our fall registration is now open. We are running meetings for two age groups, for children 5-7 years old and children 8-10 years old. We just received flier distribution approval from the HWDSB to share our flier with you (please see attached).
We realize that the end of the school year is right around the corner but we are hoping that you will be able to share this flier with your current families sometime next week, before the last day of school.
About our program:
Kid’s Corner Book Club is a social and educational program for kids ages 5-12 years old in Dundas, Ontario. The goal is to encourage reading at home, reading together, and to help make literacy and learning to read fun for kids. Children will meet during their book club session to discuss the story and then participate in a hands-on activity that will help extend their reading and literacy experience in a fun and creative way.
