Rockton Elementary School – Principal Update

Dear Families,

We are pleased to be able to share that effective September 1st John Manzin will be the permanent
Principal serving Rockton Elementary School.  John comes to Rockton from a system role supporting
specialized services and has worked in a number of elementary school locations prior to his current role.
He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and is very much looking forward to
working and learning with the Rockton community.

Over the next two weeks there will be days Ms. Rizzo will be absent due to a death in the family and a
commitment made prior to accepting the contract for Rockton School.  During the week of June 5-8
th Mr. David Hazell, retired Principal, will be on site to support the Rockton community.  Ms. Rizzo will work
closely with Mr. Hazell to support this short-term coverage and will do the same to assist Mr. Manzin in
making a smooth transition to Rockton for September.  Please join us in welcoming Mr. Hazell next week
and Mr. Manzin in September.
