Halloween 2022 at Rockton Elementary School

Rockton Student Leadership Presents

Halloween 2022 at Rockton Elementary School

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR OCTOBER 31, 2022:

Parents who would like to visit for the costume parade are welcome to wait along the walls of the back of the school (Blacktop area) and we will have a parade for the students in their costumes.  This will likely occur sometime around 9:50 or 10:00 am after the students have paraded through the school. This will only work if the weather cooperates as we would not have a good location inside the school for parents to watch.  Our gym is too small to accommodate all of the students and the parents.

Students should wear their costumes to school and have appropriate clothing ready should they wish to change out of their costumes later in the day.  Students should carry any masks or face coverings as they wait for the bus for obvious safety reasons.  Students with large costumes may need a ride to school that day as the bus may not be able to accommodate them.  Please remember that we ask that any facsimile weapons are not brought to school, nor should they carry any extra supplies (liquids, make-up, etc. as we have had problems with these items in bathrooms previously).

Period 1 – COSTUME PARADE

Lead by students from the Leadership Group, classes will parade through the school, allowing everyone to see each other’s costumes.

Period 2 – COSTUME CONTEST

Categories for prizes include scariest, funniest, most creative, and best group costume. Students wishing to be considered for a prize will be called to the foyer over the PA system.

Periods 3 & 4 – HAUNTED HOUSE run by Mrs. Burgess-Hertner’s grade 7/8 class.

Each class will be brought down at some point during this block so students who wish to walk through the haunted house may do so. No student has to go in if they don’t want to, and we are very mindful of keeping it light for our younger students.
