Volunteering in Schools

We are beginning to welcome volunteers back into schools.  In order to be a volunteer for things such as helping in classrooms, attending class trips, being a reading volunteer, nutrition volunteer, pizza or subway days, driving to sports events, etc.,  you will need to do some homework:

  1.  Please get a current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.  I believe the cost is approximately $40, which we will reimburse you for.  We will need a printed copy of your receipt.  This can usually be done online, although there are times when they want you to go into the Police Headquarters.  Copy and paste this link into your browser for more info:                           https://hamiltonpolice.on.ca/how-to/get-background-check
  2. Complete the Volunteer forms (These will also be saved under the “Volunteer” tab at the top of our website): Volunteer Agreement and Offence Declaration
  3. If you are willing to be a driver for any sporting events, please complete this form: Volunteer Driver Form
  4. This form also: Volunteer Information Sheet

When you have these items assembled, please email them to Mrs. Jeffrey at “[email protected]”.  We are setting up a new Volunteer Binder.  Please don’t wait too long as the volunteer opportunities arise quickly and my understanding is that it takes a few weeks to get the Police Check completed.

Thanks for getting involved!!!
