Greeting Card Fundraiser Update

Hello Rockton families,

I have great news! Our Greeting Card Fundraiser has raised $9,240 in profits. Thanks to all of the families and friends who supported this event by purchasing the cards and to our students who are really good sales people! The funds raised will help us move more quickly to install a playground structure at the school.

The boxes of cards will arrive at the school this Thursday, and we have some awesome volunteers who will be working to get them out to you with the following plan:

1. If your child is responsible for 4 or more orders then we are setting up a pick-up time from 4:30 until 6:00 on Thursday at the front doors of the school. We think that carrying 4 boxes of cards on the bus would be a problem, especially for our younger students. If the Thursday time frame does not work for you, then we will have an additional pickup time after March Break on Tuesday, March 22nd from 4:30 to 6:00. If this still does not work, please email the school with some times that will work for you on March 23rd or 24th, and we will try to help (email [email protected]).

2. If your child is able to carry 3 or less boxes home on the bus then they will be allowed to do so on Thursday. If you don’t think they can manage this, please notify your child’s homeroom teacher and we will work out some alternatives.

Please do not arrange a pickup with your child during regular dismissal time as this will cause congestion for our bus drivers.

Please note that there is no rush to have these distributed prior to March Break. We would prefer to have the products go out in an organized and efficient way. If we try to rush, I am worried we might make things confusing and could possible cause damage to the boxes by trying to move too many, too quickly.

Please direct any special circumstances, or special requests, to your child’s homeroom teacher. We will deal with any special circumstances after March Break. We will also deal with all of the prizes, draws and pizza parties after March Break.
