Richard Beasley Events

Sep 24 – School Council Meeting – Please make arrangements to attend Richard Beasley’s first School Council meeting for the 2025-2026 school year. We will be meeting in the Learning Commons (library) at 6pm. We have made arrangements for child-minding during the meeting.

Sep 25 – Terry Fox Run – Our Terry Fox Run which will take place on Thursday, September 25 during period 6. Students are asked to bring in a toonie to raise money for the Cancer Society.

Sep 30 – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day

Pizza Day – This year pizza is again being sold using School Cash Online only. There will not be any cash sales. The deadline to order using School Cash Online for our first Pizza Day is Tuesday September 30, 2025. Our first Pizza day is Thursday October 9, 2025. Popcorn Days – This year popcorn is being sold using School Cash Online only. There will not be any cash sales. The cost is $2 per bag. Flavours include: butter salt, white cheddar. Meet the Staff – will be on October 9 from 3:45-4:45 in the school yard (if it is raining, it will be held in the school gym).

Reorganization of Classrooms – Each fall, HWDSB reviews elementary student enrolment in schools, and must reorganize staffing if actual enrollment differs from spring projections. It is normal for student enrollment to fluctuate a little. This year, we have experienced an overall increase in enrollment at Richard Beasley. Due to the increase, some reorganization will be required. Over the next week, direct communication will be made with impacted families. Changes in classroom assignments will begin effective, Thursday, October 2.
