Dear Parents/Guardians –

We are aware of concerns related to the flyer for the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) New Year’s Festival.

These materials were distributed after previously being posted to the Flyer Distribution page on the HWDSB website. This webpage lets community partners submit flyers for events and opportunities that might interest students and families.

The IYF flyer that was originally approved and posted has since been removed. After further review, HWDSB determined that the opportunity does not meet the Criteria for Approval listed on the Flyers page.

We regret that these flyers were sent home in error and apologize for any harm or confusion it may have caused. HWDSB is reviewing the flyer approval process to help avoid similar instances in the future.
